Cassius Chinlund, a collegiate player, founded Ball is Live in the Los Angeles Valley, combining his athletic expertise with an entrepreneurial spirit. The clinics offer an organized and fast-paced tennis experience, providing participants with high-energy workouts and skill improvement through engaging liveball sessions. With coaching from professional instructors and accomplished players, these clinics create the perfect environment for players of all backgrounds to level up their game and enjoy the sport in a fun, community-driven setting.  Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive tennis community where players of all levels can challenge each other and have fun. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting, our liveball clinic keeps you engaged with competitive yet friendly gameplay that will take your tennis to the next level. We accept all players no matter their level, ranging from 2.5 NTRP to 5.0 NTRP. We host liveball sessions run by professional or collegiate tennis players most evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, at various private court locations. Ball is Live is the perfect way to unwind, break a sweat, and connect with fellow tennis enthusiasts. With an overall focus on teamwork, strategy, and non-stop action, Ball is Live is the #1 spot for improving your game in a collaborative, supportive, social environment.

Meet our professional coaches

  • Meet Coach Edward

    Edward Markosian, a professional tennis player and coach from Glendale, California is one of our head liveball coaches. Edward has experience training and traveling with some of the best players in the world. He has been ranked as high as 1,800 on the ITF men’s rankings and plays on the ATP Futures Tour. He has visited countries such as Egypt, Mexico, and Japan for tournaments. With world-class knowledge and athletic skills, Edward is a great addition to our company and a superb coach!

  • Meet Coach Abasi

    Abasi Abukusumo, a professional tennis player and coach from Burbank, California is another one of our head liveball coaches. Abasi currently plays on the ATP futures tour. He has been ranked as high as 2,000 for ITF men’s rankings. He has competed in countries such as Egypt, Italy, Mexico, China, and more! Not only is Abasi an integral part of our business and community, but he is also an incredible coach!
